rehapro

As part of the "Innovative Ways to Participation - rehapro" programme funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), the municipal Jobcenter Kreis Groß-Gerau has launched the V-I-T (Networking-Interaction-Participation) project together with the Jobcenter Darmstadt. The aim is to provide individualised support and guidance in a new way, particularly for people entitled to benefits with mental impairments.

Further information on the rehapro project can be found on the website of the Jobcenter Darmstadt, which is our partner.

The most important questions about the project:

People who are at least 25 years old and are entitled to SGB II benefits in the area of responsibility of the Jobcenter Kreis Groß-Gerau.

Participation should make you feel fitter, healthier and more productive again. Ideally, you will have more energy to participate in social and professional life again after taking part.

The team supports the participants over 12 months in two phases:

  1. Initial assessment (month 1)

During the four-week initial assessment, the participants and their personal health coach get to know each other. In addition to the various one-to-one meetings, the health coach also accompanies the participants to the various stages that are important for inclusion in the project, such as psychological and medical counselling by the V-I-T specialist staff. The initial assessment concludes with the creation of an action and support plan tailored to the participants.
  2. Health coaching (months 2 to 12)

Key skills are to be promoted and developed through the implementation of the personalised action and support plan, which can consist of individual coaching, group offers, workshops and other health promotion offers. Workplace trials are possible with close support from the labour market expert during this phase.

A team of four health coaches, a labour market expert and a psychologist was set up specifically to support the participants. The employees have attended special training courses on health topics and are aware of many offers, such as free sports courses. Contacts can also be established for confidential topics such as addiction.

Participation in the counselling service is voluntary. It is possible to cancel the project if you do not feel comfortable with it. Ending participation has no negative consequences.

There is no sanction or fine.

Good to know:

The municipal Jobcenter Kreis Groß-Gerau has set up a cooperative network to ensure the best possible provision of help and support services. The network includes the Social Psychiatric Service, the Groß-Gerau District Social Psychiatric Association and Paritätische Projekte gGmbH. The health coach is familiar with the services offered by the co-operation partners and can therefore help participants to find the right support in the best possible way. Participants should be able to continue to benefit from this network even after the project has ended.
